General contractor in Pierrefonds

The riverfront, and what the water taught everyone.

Custom builds, major renovations and home additions. RBQ licence 5865995401.

Water gets settled first.

Pierrefonds runs along the Rivière des Prairies. The floods of 2017 and 2019 marked several streets in the area, and owners have been asking different questions before starting a basement ever since.

They are good questions. Before finishing a basement here, we look at the drain and the grade around the house. A nice floor laid over a water problem does not last two winters.

What people in Pierrefonds ask us.

We want to finish the basement, but we have had water before. Is that a bad idea?

Not if the cause is fixed first. We find where the water gets in, correct the drainage and the grading around the house, and only then talk about finishes. Done the other way around, the work gets paid for twice.

How long does a project take?

It depends on the scope and on what we find once things are open. We give a schedule once the plan is settled, and we tell you when something moves it. A timeline announced before the plan is a made-up timeline.

Are you licensed?

Yes. NDE Construction et Rénovation holds RBQ licence 5865995401. You can check it yourself on the RBQ website, Quebec’s building authority, before signing anything.

What happens at a first meeting?

We come out, we look at what you have, and we listen to what you want to do. Nothing gets priced over the phone on a renovation: what is hidden behind the walls changes the picture too often.
